Product Description

The DS3800HXMA1G1G PCB (printed circuit board) from General Electric is a component part of the Mark IV system. The Speedtronic Mark IV has been designed to control every aspect of a steam turbine or a gas turbine and to protect that system from unsafe conditions such as over-temperature and over-speed. The DS3800HXMA1G1G has been created to function as an expander card. It has the following specs:

  • The board has been factory-drilled, and clips have been mounted into two of the holes. This gives the end user options for mounting.

  • It has been built with four resistor network arrays. Network arrays may be used for analog to digital conversion (or vice versa,) or for voltage division.

  • It has one test point.

  • It has one red LED, located near the single test point.

  • It has fifteen jumper switches. Jumpers allow the user to customize the printed circuit board by quickly changing the circuitry of the board. These jumpers are labeled as follows: Test, LS1 through LS4, FS1 through FS4, LAB5 through LAB8, and FAB5/FAB6.

  • It has one electrolytic (aluminum) capacitor.

  • It has been designed with 35 integrated circuits. This includes Motorola SN74LS02N I8641C, Texas Instruments S8714AS SN74LS74AN, and Hitachi HM6116P-2. The Hitachi circuit features a single 5V supply with low power operation and standby. It is TTL compatible with standard 16K EPROM/MASK ROM, and has completely static RAM.
