Product Description

General Electric made the DS3800HSPC1D1E, a speed position input board, to be a part of the Speedtronic Mark IV series, a system of gas and steam turbine controls.

Twenty-five integrated circuits, which all contain tiny components like capacitors, resistors and diodes are on the board. Around the board are also many capacitors in different colors. One of these capacitors is yellow and three capacitors are silver in color. Many of the capacitors are light blue or black. There are also many light blue capacitors and black capacitors. One capacitor is banded and contains different colors. The device’s energy capacity is signified by the different colored bands. Also banded in various colors are several resistors. These bands also represent the capacity of the device. Two transistors are on the DS3800HSPC1D1E. The first transistor is half-moon shaped and black and is designated as Q1. On the opposite side of the card, the second transistor is silver and shaped like a cylinder and labeled Q2. On the surface of the DS3800HSPC1D1E are several red-banded diodes. A group of test points borders the right side of the board, which let the board be tested to make sure that it is in proper working order. A jack connector port which is blue in color is on the right end of the board. Also on the DS3800HSPC1D1E is a group of jumper pins, including a black jumper which connects two pins together. A variable resistor, or potentiometer, is blue in color and can be seen on the right of the DS3800HSPC1D1E. Used at times to control variables like volume, potentiometers on a circuit board like the DS3800HSPC1D1E can adjust the resistance of the resistor.
