Product Description

The DS3800HMPF1B1B is one of the earliest version controller modules available for the GE Mark IV Speedtronic system. The MKIV was the first of the Speedtronic gas and steam management systems to offer TMR (triple modular redundant) control.  

The DS3800HMPF1B1B is a microprocessor 8086 based board.  It is built using an IBM 8086 chip.  This chip was a third-generation microprocessor housed in a 40-pin package.  The processor can transfer data between itself and other components in 8 bits or 16 bits per bus cycle.   It has a standard operating speed of 5 MHz. 

The DS3800HMPF1B1B board used in a <RST> configuration along with a communicator module.   This board typically works in conjunction with a HSCG contact input module.  Controllers like the DS3800HMPF1B1B board pass data to the communicator.  All data is voted before it is used for control purposes or for display.  

The DS3800HMPF1B1B is a rectangular board with a backplane connector on one edge and a right-angled connector on the other.  The leading edge is also fitted with extractor clips and with two LED indicators, along with test points and several jumper switches.  Make sure to duplicate the position of your previous board’s jumpers on your new board before installation.
