The GE LCI Contact Interface Board DS3800HIOD1C1C is designed for quick installation in the drive. The board features a modular connector on 1 end and retention levers on the other end. The GE LCI Contact Interface Board DS3800HIOD1C1C also is populated with a reset button located between the retention levers making it accessible from the front of the board. It also is populated with 8 trimmer resistor components and erasable programmable read-only memory (EPROM) modules.
The drive uses high-voltage current to processing signals and to power the motor and other moving parts. For this reason only qualified technicians should attempt to service the drive. The drive poses a risk of serious electrical shock and burns. Also, the powerful motor and other moving parts can cause bodily injury.
Before the drive is serviced, the qualified individual completes an inspection of the area surrounding the drive. The floor must be completely dry with no moisture or puddles of water present. Use towels or a wet dry vacuum to dry the floor. If condensation is a constant occurrence, it might be necessary to install air conditioning units to provide the area with dry air. Use detergents to clean the floor of any oil or grease. The oil and grease can pose a trip or slip hazard to the sericers and other individuals. At least 2 servicers should be present to work on the drive. If 1 servicer is injured, the other servicer can call for help, assist the injured servicer, or use the emergency power shut offs to remove all electrical power from the drive.
