The GE LCI Contact Interface Board DS3800HIOD is designed for quick installation in the drive. The board features a modular connector on 1 end and retention levers on the other end. The GE LCI Contact Interface Board DS3800HIOD also is populated with a reset button located between the retention levers making it accessible from the front of the board. It also is populated with 8 trimmer resistor components and erasable programmable read-only memory (EPROM) modules.
The trimmer resistors are potentiometers because of the adjustment screws that are available for use on the components. When the adjustment screw is turned, it varies the resistance of the trimmer resistor. This is helpful if an adjustment will cause the board to better meet the processing requirements of the drive. The technician must have a full featured testing device. Use a screwdriver to adjust the screw while monitoring the trimmer resistor performance with the testing device. Perform the adjustment on a static protective mat or on top of a flattened out static protective bag.
