Product Description

The GE Fish Processor Board DS3800HFPE1D1B features a modular connector for attachment to a drive and retention levers to hold the board in the drive. The GE Fish Processor Board DS3800HFPE1D1B also is populated with 3 jumpers, and multiple capacitors. The board has 1 40-pin connector that is accessible from the front of the board. It also is populated with test points and 1 40-pin connector on the surface of the board.   

Another component on the board is a transistor to transistor logic (TTL) device.

The board is populated with 4 LEDs that the operator can monitor during normal operation to maintain an understanding of how the board is processing. Each of the 3 red LEDs provide an indication of how the board is processing. When each red LED is flashing, it indicates when activity is occurring on the board. When the red LEDs are off, if indicates that activity is not occurring. If the red LEDs are not flashing, it might be because an error has occurred. The amber LED is lit when power is supplied to the board and the board has passed all startup diagnostic tests.

If the processing activity on the board has stopped and the red LEDs are not lit, it is best practice to troubleshoot the condition.

One troubleshooting step is to run the drive diagnostic program. The diagnostic report will provide a chronological list of the board activities. This includes all errors and warnings. Trip conditions are also listed. For example, if the interior of the drive becomes too hot, the drive will automatically shut down. This is an overheat trip condition.
