The GE Fish Processor Board DS3800HFPE1B1B features a modular connector for attachment to a drive and retention levers to hold the board in the drive. The GE Fish Processor Board DS3800HFPE1B1B also is populated with 3 jumpers, and multiple capacitors. The board has 1 40-pin connector that is accessible from the front of the board. It also is populated with test points and 1 40-pin connector on the surface of the board.   

Another component on the board is a transistor to transistor logic (TTL) device.

The GE Fish Processor Board DS3800HFPE1B1B is populated with 3 red LEDs and 1 amber LED that give the operator the status on the board functionality. When the red LEDs are lit, it indicates that errors have occurred in the circuits on the board. When the amber LED is lit, it indicates that a warning has been signaled. The warning means that processing continues but that troubleshooting is required to investigate the problem. The diagnostic tools on the drive are the first step in troubleshooting.

The user interface is a series of menu selections that you make using the keys on the keypad. One menu selection is to select the diagnostic tools. Other menu selections are to edit the configuration parameters that control how the board behaves. The menu selection gives you access to the various sections of the configuration. Other keys give you access to the editing tools to make updates.
