Product Description
The DS3800HDDD1A1A component is a diagnostic display board manufactured by GE as part of their Speedtronic/Mark IV series. The DS3800HDDD1A1A printed circuit board is one integrated part in the Mark IV series, which is a gas and steam turbine control system made up of integrated microprocessors designed to specifically minimize downtime caused by electronics failure.
The DS3800HDDD1A1A has two parts--the operator panel and the connected printed circuit board.
The operator panel has openings cut into its silver flat cover to reveal the LEDs and operator interfaces connected to the board below. This includes four individual LEDs, six LED strips, and one plunge switch. The panel floats above the the PCB due to the user of spacers, which allows for some components to be accessed from the edge. The panel is heavily labeled for the user's convenience.
The four individual LED lights include three amber lights and one red. These are labeled Drive ok/Data link active/ready to run/fault. Below these, the plunge switch is labeled reset. To the right of the individual LEDs are three LED strips. These are labeled Motor Faults (individually labeled and numbered 1-10,) Converter Faults (labeled and numbered 11-15,) and Alarms (labeled and numbered 16-20.) To the right of these are three more LED strips. These are labeled Drive Status (labeled and numbered 21-25,) Reference Selection (labeled and numbered 26-35) and Status (labeled and numbered 36-40.)
The DS3800HDDD1A1A PCB has been factory drilled to accept the spacers and mounting screws to mount the panel. The individual LEDs and LED strips are connected to the board to properly correspond to their cutouts in the panel. It is worth noting each numbered location on the LED strips (described above) contains two individual LEDs.
The DS3800HDDD1A1A board is marked A-J on its bottom edge. There is a multi-pin connector located on its left edge, next to two thumbwheel potentiometers. The DS3800HDDD1A1A is designed with multiple integrated circuits and resistors.
