The GE Digital to Analog Output Board DS3800HCVA1F1D features a modular connector for attachment to a drive and retention levers to hold the board in the drive. The GE Digital to Analog Output Board DS3800HCVA1F1D also is populated with 14 jumpers, and 2 amber indicator LEDs. The board also has 3 connectors accessible from the front of the board, and 4 trimmer resistors.

The GE Digital to Analog Output Board DS3800HCVA1F1D also is populated with a programmable logic device (PLD). The PLD is configured at the factory to provide a specific programming function. They require no operator configuration or other intervention to function on the board. The dc to dc voltage regulators are 2 large components that populate the drive. For added security, zip ties are wrapped around the board and the dc to dc regulators to hold them in place.

When you slid the board into the board rack, the modular connector meets with a matching connector in the interior of the drive. When you lock the board into the rack with the retention levers, the modular connectors meet.

The power needed to power the board is supplied by the modular connection. Also supplied by the modular connection are the command signals that the board receives for processing. Once processing of the signals is complete, the board transmits the signal for further processing through the modular connector.
