The GE Regulator Board DS3800HAFA1C1D features a modular connector for attachment to a drive and retention levers to hold the board in the drive. The GE Regulator Board DS3800HAFA1C1D also is populated with 11 jumpers, and 4 trimmer resistor components. The board also has 1 20-pin connector and 1 34-pin connector.

The modular connector on the GE Regulator Board DS3800HAFA1C1D is located at the rear of the board so that when installed in the drive, the modular connector on the board attaches to the module connector in the rear of the board rack. The modular connectors provide the current to power the board. It also provides the means for transmitting signals from the board to other boards and components in the drive. The modular connectors also enable the board to receive signals. The signals are processed, then sent to another board for further processing.

Before you install or remove the board, you must remove all current from the drive. The drive might have multiple sources of current so it is best practice to test the drive for current before you touch the board.  

The board is secured in the rack with the retention levers. The levers also ensure a full attachment to the modular connector at the rear of the rack. To use the levers, press the board into position and make sure the levers are in alignment with the rack. Then, press the levers down to lock the board in place. To remove the board, lift up on the levers to release the board. Then, use 1 hand to lift the board out of the rack.
