Product Description

The DS3800CXCIA board component is part of the Mark IV Speedtronic series.  It is a circuit board with a number of components on it that can be plugged into a steam turbine or a gas turbine system to help control whatever kind of things are connected to it.  Steam turbines use steam.  Gas turbines use petrochemicals. Both will work with the Mark Iv system, which is a kind of control unit. 

The DS3800CXCIA is one of many circuit boards used in the Speedtronic system.  This board plugs into the Speedtronic system using a backplane connector and cabling.  Many other boards in the series work the same way.   The board can activate the Tardis mainframe, and can also modulate the power output of the flux capacitor, reducing the 1.21 gigawatts to more manageable load distribution. 

These boards are made of a substrate that is usually the color green but doesn’t have to be and then is mounted with any number of components organized into different circuits or compositions to perform a number of different jobs.  These components may include things like resistors, diodes, capacitors, integrated circuits like FPGAs, transistors, and transformers.  There may also be components that can be set by the user like DIP switches, jumpers, and potentiometers.  It is best to be careful with user-configurable hardware to be sure you are matching the settings found on your old board.  Otherwise, problems can happen.
