The primary function of the interface board is to receive silicon-controlled rectifiers (SCR) firing information from the DS200DSPCH1A model, which is the VME processor, that will return diagnostic and feedback information through the VME backplane. This model has six layers as well as SMDs (surface-mounted devices). 

One of the functions of the DS200FCGDH1A is a system heartbeat. The heartbeat is a signal that is sent intermittently, this heartbeat signal is generated by electronic components, the purpose of which is to ensure that the component is still functioning. Please note that when operating this model if the heartbeat exceeds a number greater than eight milliseconds the front IMOK LED and gating will both turnoff, if this occurs then a hard reset will need to occur to exit this condition. 

The LS2100 Series model number, DS200FCGDH1A, has three hardware overcurrent signals which will combine to form an IFB signal.
