Product Description

The 193X803BEG03 is a Power Amp and Power Supply board created by GE for the Speed Variator Drive and/or the SCR Drive.  This printed circuit board may work with compatible GE DC drive systems.

The 193X803BEG03 is a two board system with a front panel attached.  This wide front panel is connected to the upper printed circuit board using two screws. The front panel, which is gray and blue, is printed with information like the board identification number, the board use, and the company’s logo.  This front panel has an ergonomic handle attached to help technicians with the insertion and removal of the board for replacement and for scheduled maintenance.   The single opening in the front panel lines up with a rotary potentiometer located on the board surface.

The 193X803BEG03 is populated with the rotary potentiometer mentioned above. This is used to calibrate a circuit. The board has six transformers. Five of these transformers are mounted in frames, while the sixth uses a center screw mount.  This transformer is a toroidal transformer that has four colored wires connecting to the board surface. These wires are black, red, green and white.

The 193X803BEG03 has three vertical brackets on its surface designed for mounting components above the board surface.  The board primarily uses resistors made of carbon composite material and electrolytic capacitors, although other materials are used.   The board has several bias jumpers that are wired together with black wires. Some of these wires exit the surface of the board through factory-made holes and connect to components on the bottom board.

The lower board on the 193X803BEG03 is primarily taken up by a large heat sink component.  This board also has several bias jumpers, capacitors, and resistors. Wires from the top board attach to some of these components.
