The OPCG11SP1 functions as a Profibus-DP card. This unit is built within an exterior case and includes several connectors including a three-position terminal strip. The case is designed with multiple openings to allow for airflow.
The OPCG11SP1 has a baud rate (minimum of 9.6 kBaud. It uses a cyclic user data transfer method between DP slaves and DP master. The unit offers synchronization of all inputs/outputs and transmits messages using Hamming Distance (HD=4).
The front panel of the OPCG11SP1 has four LEDs on its front panel. This includes one for Fieldbus diagnostics, another to indicate on-line status, and a third to indicate off-line status. The fourth LED is typically not used.
