The Eurotherm 620L-0180-400-0010-UK-ENW-0000-000-B0-000-000 enables speed control of induction motors with an encoder. It also provides for a co-processor and ports for a fibre optic communications network.
An overheat condition will cause the Eurotherm 620L-0180-400-0010-UK-ENW-0000-000-B0-000-000 to shut down. This is a safety feature to avoid damage to components and avoid a fire hazard or injury to operators and others in the area.
To prevent an overheat condition you must take steps during the installation planning phase to make sure the device stays cool. Make sure the wall or other surface on which you install the device stays cool. Make sure the other side of the wall isn’t near devices that might cause a heat build up that would heat the wall.
There will be single cables and bundles of cables near the device on the wall. Make sure they do block air flow below, or above the device. The Eurotherm 620L-0180-400-0010-UK-ENW-0000-000-B0-000-000 is designed to allow air to flow from the bottom and escape from the top. This air flow is sufficient to keep the device in the normal temperature range.
In some cases the 620L-0180-400-0010-UK-ENW-0000-000-B0-000-000 is installed in an enclosed cabinet without any air flow. You must provide fans, a ventilation system (for example a ventilation hood), or other air cooling system.
The wall might also contain other devices and similar apparatus. Keep at least 4-inches between devices installed side-by-side and keep at least 7-inches between devices installed above or below.
If the wall has devices on it before you install the 620L-0180-400-0010-UK-ENW-0000-000-B0-000-000 cover them with plastic or cloth. This is too prevent dust, small metal pieces, wire clippings, or other debris from damaging the other devices.
