591C-0350-5-3

This model of the Eurotherm 590 series of motor controllers is designated as the 591C-0350-5-3, though it is more commonly identified as 591C/0350/5/3. These models are all designed as motor control units, and outfitted with a similar range of featured hardware. Included is a standard Eurotherm 16 bit microprocessor, and the capability of communicating via a Eurotherm fiber optic cable network.

The Eurotherm 590 models are all made up of the same components: a 590 Link Drive, a set of alternating current fuses, and a direct current contractor module.

The 591C/0350/5/3 model unit is built with a configuration made up of three Phase 2 quadrant converters, that run between 35 and up to 720 amperes. These converter units are non-regenerative. These converters are built with only one thyristor bridge, and a field bridge with fully transient and overload protective capabilities. The converters work together with the 591C/0350/5/3 model’s control circuitry, and provide accurate speed and torque control for the model to manage.

The 591C/0350/5/3 is also outfitted with a series of advanced features. The control circuitry for the unit is software configurable by the user. The algorithms that run the control programs are complex formulas, and are unable to reconfigured or rewritten by simplistic analog means.

The 591C/0350/5/3 is outfitted with a series of integrated terminal ports. There are 7 analog I/O ports in total. 5 inputs, 4 of which are configurable, and 2 configurable outputs. Then there are 8 digital I/O ports. 3 of the 5 inputs are configurable, while the 3 outputs are all configurable. A keypad and analog tachogenerator board are integrated as well.
