590C-0700-9-1

The Eurotherm lineup of direct current drive models range in some specifications regarding the power supply, but for the most part are an interchangeable series of devices. This unit that is listed here is the 590C-0700-9-1, though, more commonly designated as the 590C/0700/9/1 unit.

The 590C/0700/9/1 unit is designed with the standard Eurotherm internal workings. There is a series of three converters, fully regenerative, and are all Phase 4 model converters. These converters are outfitted with a pair of bridge thyristors, and are thus able to provide protection with the 590C/0700/9/1’s transience and in the event of a possible overload.

The control and communication abilities of the 590C/0700/9/1 are processed by the Eurotherm 590 standard 16 bit microprocessing unit. This microprocessor provides several advanced features and capabilities such as the complex control algorithms that run the motor control capabilities. These algorithms cannot be replicated by any kind of simplistic analog routines. There is also the software configurable control circuitry, which is built out of the standard software blocks. There are also the ability to serially link communication, via other similar models of drives, or even a PC, and connect for advanced processing systems.

The 590C/0700/9/1 unit is outfitted with several analog and digital input and output ports. In addition to these I/O ports, there is a tacho input. Other pieces of hardware includes a keypad, and a tachogenerator feedback board.
