590C-0700-5-3

The 590C-0700-5-3 module (also designated as the 590C/0700/5/3) is a part of the Eurotherm 590C line of Direct Current Motor Drive Controller. These units are all designed with a similar series of components. Made up of three different parts (a set of Alternating Current supply fusing, a DC contactor, and a DC Link Drive).

These models are all able to be connected over the Eurotherm fiber optic cable network, and are outfitted with a Eurotherm 16 bit microprocessor. These models also come with a configuration between four speeds for the DC contactor to operate at.

The 590C/0700/5/3 unit is equipped with a standard internal system of Eurotherm hardware, as it is controlled by the 16 bit microprocessor. The complex control algorithms that it operates on are unable to be replicated and altered by simplistic analog techniques and coding.

The 590C/0700/5/3 unit also comes with a software configurable series of control circuitry that is designed from standard software blocking components. The Eurotherm series also is able to communicate via a serial link connections, linking up to other motor control drives or even a PC link as an advanced processing system.

The 590C/0700/5/3 model is also built with a series of regenerating converters: three Phase 4 units, operating at a rate of 720 amperes. The main power supply of this unit is nominally at 380 volts, while the auxiliary supply is 220 volts.
