About the 590C/0350/9/3
590C-0350-9-3
The 590 Eurotherm Link Series of devices are a line of motor controllers built to operate on direct current (DC). These units are used while connected to an available Eurotherm fiber optic cable network. These devices are designed with three segments needed to achieve their duties: a 590 DC Link Drive module, a DC contactor unit, and AC Supply Fusing. The features included within each of the Eurotherm 590 Link series is hardware such as the 16-bit microprocessor, and a DC contactor with one of four variations of feedback speed. These units are also able to handle fiber optic communications.
This unit in particular is listed with the code 590C-0350-9-3, or alternatively, 590C/0350/9/3. This model is configured with the standard setup: a set of 3 regenerative converters. These converters operate at a rate of 720 amperes. These converters are comprised of a pair of fully controlled thyristor bridge modules, as well as a field bridge, with full transient and overload protection capabilities. While operating together, the electronic control of accelerating and decelerating is possible, as well as the speed and torque control in the selected direction of rotation.
The 590C/0350/9/3 module’s 16 bit microprocessor unit provides the user with a device that has complex controller algorithms, that are unable to be achieved via simple analog techniques. The control circuitry is also configurable via the unit’s software, which is designed around standard software blocking. The 590C/0350/9/3 can communicate via serial links with other drives and PCs, for advanced processing systems.
