This model, listed as either the 590C-0350-7-3, or the 590C/0350/7/3, is one of the many models in the Eurotherm 590C series of direct current (DC) Motor Controllers. These models are capable of connecting and operating via the Eurotherm fiber optic cable network system. This series is designed with a setup of 3 main parts. These parts are a 590 DC link drive, an AC supply fuse module, and a DC contactor unit.
The standard set of features and hardware that the 590C/0350/7/3 and other models of DC motor controllers are outfitted with include the capability of communicating via fiber optic connections. There is also a 16 bit microprocessor module installed, and up to four different types of speed feedback DC contactor units.
The 590C/0350/7/3 is configured with three Phase 4 regenerative quadrant converters. These converters operate at a rate of 720 amperes, with a 35 ampere DC output at most. This unit is powered by a Phase 3 alternating current power supply, which runs at up to 440 volts. In addition, there is an auxiliary power supply for the 590C/0350/7/3, which operates at 220 volts of alternating current.
