The Eurotherm 590/591 Plus series is a pair of categories of solid state motor drives. Both of these groups of products are available from AX Control Inc. These models range between their respective categories as regenerative and non-regenerative units. This unit is designated as the 591P/0070/500/0011/US.

The Eurotherm 590 and 591 Plus series is outfitted with a standard set of hardware and functions. Each of these units are designed with a similar gray protective casing, and has the dimensions of 200 mm Width x 434 mm Tall x 292 mm Deep. These units are set up in an isolated single or two quadrant form, which is user configurable within the “Quick Set-Up” settings.

The standard hardware included in this unit is a keypad for operator commands to be input, and there are a number of external input and output terminals. These terminals consist of both analog and digital inputs and outputs.

The internal workings of the 591P/0070/500/0011/US include an input voltage ranging between 380 and up to 460 volts of direct current, and a 58 ampere input current for the Amature. The Eurotherm 590 and 591 Plus units are built with a 32 bit microcontroller, which provides the module with the advanced set of control algorithms and software configurable control circuitry.
