This unit is a part of the lineup of solid state drives in the Eurotherm 590 series, developed by the Parker Engineering corporation. This series is made up of Parker SSD units, solid state drives, which are equipped with several components, which depend on if they’re regenerative/non-regenerative modules. This model is designated with the ID of 590P/0270/500/0011/UK.

The unit is outfitted with an array of regenerative hardware, which includes a set of two thyristor bridge units, a protective bridge field unit for transient and overloading coverage, fuses, and contractor units. Externally, there are a series of integrated I/O terminal ports: 21 in total. They are divided into 8 analog I/O ports, and 13 digital I/O ports. There are two of the digital inputs that are able to be configured into encoder inputs.
