590P-0070-500-0010-FR

The Eurotherm 590 series of solid state drives was developed in part by Parker Engineering’s division of electromechanical products and devices.

This model in particular is the 590P/0070/500/0010/FR, a fully regenerative, DC thyristor drive, powered by an intake of up to 400 V/DC. The unit’s universal control supply falls between 110 and up to 230 V/DC. The standard motor output for this series is 68 kW, at 460 V/DC.

The regenerative drives are outfitted with a wide amount of components. There are a pair of controlled thyristor bridge units, fuse arrays, contractor modules, and a protective field bridge, outfitted with the ability to provide transient and overload coverage. These internal components of the 590P/0070/500/0010/FR work for the advanced electronic control of the speed acceleration/deceleration of the motors that are selected.

The other standard features that the Eurotherm 590 drives include a 32-bit microcontroller unit. This microcontroller is designed to provide the 590P/0070/500/0010/FR unit with its advanced features. It’s built to supply the advanced control algorithms, unable to be replicated by analog methods. The control circuitry is software configurable, built from standard software blocks. The unit’s serial link communication capabilities are built-in through this microcontroller as well.

The 590P/0070/500/0010/FR model is designed with the dimensions of 7.87 in/200 mm in width, 11.5 in/292 mm in depth, and 17 in/434 mm in height.
