Product Description

The ISM1500-01 model is part of the Cognex In-Sight Micro Vision System. This mode is considered a Regulatory Model with most of its compliances. Several cable types can be used with this module, such as breakout, Ethernet, and I/O cables. To connect this module and the I/O modules cable do so through the I/O cables M8 connector which will connect to the vision system I/O connector and then connect the DB15 connector from the I/O modules cable to the I/O modules I/O connector. 

Pertaining to the cables that are used to connect the models together there are several different cables used in different lengths, for example, there are five different lengths associated with the breakout cable. The lengths are 15 m (49.5 ft), 10 m (33 ft), 5 m (16.5 ft), 2 m (6.8 ft), and .6 m (2 ft). Please note that the breakout cable will be used to provide access to the ISM1500-01 model's high-speed and trigger outputs. 

There are three common components that are associated with the ISM1500-01 model, these components are the mounting system, which is the mounting kit, the optional mounting block, an extension ring that will be used with C-mount lenses, and the vision system itself. 

There are specifications regarding how this model can operate which include the minimum firmware requirements; the minimum firmware needed to operate this model is In-Sight version 4.9.1. There is also a specific sensor type that the ISM1500-01 model has, this model has a CMOS that is 1/1.8”.

The ISM1500-01 is a Cognex vision system that allows the user to have measurement, identification, and robot monitoring capabilities on the factor floor. The vision systems function as stand-alone, network-ready, compact units to allow the user to afford these capabilities in the most ideal way. When the Cognex vision system ISM1500-01 In-Sight Micro Series unit is viewed from the rear, there are two connectors that immediately stand out. The first, on the top left of the unit, is the I/O connector. This allows the vision system to connect to high-speed outputs and to the acquisition trigger input. On the lower right hand side of the unit is a slightly larger connector. This PoE connector is where the vision systems connect to the Ethernet that will allow them to have power and network communication connection.
