Frequently Asked Questions about ISM1110-01
What are the current implications for a high-speed output to relay/LED configuration of the ISM1110-01?
The Cognex ISM1110-01 In-Sight Micro Series Vision System can adapt a break out cable to the high speed outputs in order to connect the vision system to a relay, a LED, or a part with a similar load. The positive side will be connected to the +24 VDC and the negative side will be connected to the output of the vision system. In this configuration, the negative side is reduced to less than 3 VDC and the opposite side will see 21 VDC. A protection diode is necessary for a large inductive load. This configuration can be viewed in Figure 3-6 High-Speed-Output - Relay/LED Configuration diagram. In this circuit, the current is not to become greater than 100mA.
How can the Cognex ISM1110-01 be cleaned without causing damage to the glass window?
In order to clean products of the Cognex In-Sight Micro Vision Series such as the ISM1110-01, and air pressurized duster should be used to eliminate dust from the external side of the image sensor window. This air should not contain remnants that may contaminate the glass and degrade the resulting image. For example the air should not contain moisture or oil for this reason.
