Frequently Asked Questions about ISM1100-C00
How does the bit depth compare for the different model specification of the Cognex In-Sight Micro Series Vision Systems?
The bit depth for a Cognex vision system will vary based on the different specification of the Cognex Micro Series Vision System in question. For example, if the vision system has a C following the four digit specification code then this is a color indicator, meaning the vision system is equipped with a 24 bit color bit depth. Cognex vision systems 1100C, 1400C, and 1403 have this color feature. All other vision systems (1020/1050, 1100/1110, 1400/1410, 1402/1412,1403/1413, and 1500 vision systems) have a bit depth feature of 256 grey levels at 8 bits per pixel. The maximum pixel resolution for the 1020/1150, 1100/1110, 1100C, 1400/1410, and the 1400C micro vision system specification is 640 x 480. This dimension increases to a pixel resolution of 1280 x 1024 for a1402 or 1412 Cognex Vision System. The 1403/1413 or 1403C vision systems have a pixel resolution of 1600 x 1200. The 1500 is listed as either having a pixel resolution of 640 x 480 or 800 x 600. The default pixel resolution for a 1500 vision system is the first pixel range (640 x 480). However with the In-Sight Explorer software this resolution can be updated to the second pixel specification (800 x 600).
