One of the Cognex In-Sight Micro 8000 industrial monitoring system series, the IA8405 models are more advanced, more compact, and weigh less than the 8200 or 8400 models. The In-Sight Micro 8000 line has dimensions of 31mm x 31.2mm x 75.1mm (1.22in x 1.23in x 2.95in) weighs 132.2g (4.66oz), without the standard issue grip mount.

However, the standard dimensions of the In-Sight 8405 models are 31mm x 31.2mm x 71.6mm (1.22in x 1.23in x 2.82in) and weighing 78g (2.75oz) When the mounting block is included, the model’s layout turns into 39 mm x 31.2 mm x 71.6mm (1.54in x 1.23in x 2.82in) and weighs 109g (3.84oz).

Product frame is made of a diecast zinc, with yellow and black paint finish, with the Cognex logo emblazoned on the side.
