Part of the Cognex In-Sight Micro 8000 line. When compared against their In-Sight Micro 1020, the IS8402C-363-50 is 15 times faster.

The IS8402C-363-50 captures moving images in full color image, in 1600 x 1200 pixel resolution at a rapid reset acquisition rate of 53 fps. To capture data, the IS8402C-363-50 utilizes its 1/1.8 inch CMOS sensor with a global shutter. The only interface possible for the 1 input made is a Gigabit Ethernet trigger and the model has 2 outputs made for high-quality, fast transfer. This model also has 1-D and 2-D readers for assembly line item barcodes, and OCR/OCV abilities. This model monitors and filters images, geometric program and pattern recognition, histogram data, formatting and string parsing, and a built-in caliper assessment calibrates products nonlinearly.

The IS8402C-363-50 is installed with PatMax (Cognex designed, developed, and patented for flaw detection in assembly line product), Spreadsheet, JavaScript capabilities, EasyBuilder, InspectEdge (inspects blobs, curves, edges, and lines on assembly line products).

Standard Cognex product has die cast zinc framing, with yellow and black finish. 4 M3 threaded mounting holes requiring a C mount at the base, M6 mounting holes are available on accessory mounting block. In-Sight 8402, like the 8200, 8400, and 8401 models, require the 5.2.0 firmware.
