The In-Sight 8000 family of products has five categories, the In-Sight 8200, 8400, 8401, 8402, and the 8405.

The usual specifications of the products stay largely similar, with a Graphic User Interface (GUI) systems of Spreadsheet and EasyBuilder, and the In-Sight Explorer 5.1.1 version of firmware. There are available 512 megabytes of non-volatile flash job and program memory, and 512 MB of SDRAM for image processing. A C Mount is used to hold its lens, and there’s one opto-isolated, acquisition trigger input, no general purpose inputs and two general use, discrete outputs. The CIO-1400 extension module grants eight general use input nodes, and eight additional general use outputs.

Across all the cameras, each one has a rapid reset acquisition rate, with full progressive scan, and full-frame integration, with a bit depth of 256 gray levels (at 8 bits per pixel) and as fast as 217 full frames per second in the 8200/8400 models, with the 8401 model; 76 full frames per second, with the 8402; 53 full frames per second, and with the 8405, only 10 full frames per second. The electric shutter speed ranges differently with each model as well, 8200/8400 is from 14 to 520 microseconds, 8401 is from 17.4 to 750 ms, the 8402 from 20 to 940 ms, and the 8405 from 32 to 1000 ms.
