IS7402-01 is a Cognex camera that is part of the InSight Vision System. This camera has 512 MB non-volatile flash memory and unlimited storage via a remote network device. The image processing memory is 256 MB SDRAM. The sensor ia a 1/1.8-inch CMOS sensor with a 5.3 mm diameter. The sensor is 5.3 x 5.3 µm sq. pixels. The camera resolution is 800 x 600 pixels. The electronic shutter speed is 16µs to 950ms. The acquisition is rapid reset, progressive scan, and full-frame integration. The bit depth is 256 grey levels at 8 bits/pixel. The camera operates at 102 full frames per second. The lens type is an M12 or C-mount.
For both optical formats on the In-Sight 7000, a ⅔ inch lens format is sufficient. For the 800 x 600 resolution offering, a ⅓ inch lens is sufficient. 43.8 mm is the maximum length of the lens when the standard lens cover is extended. The lens diameter plus the locking screws have to be less than 39.77 mm. A longer lense cover is not available in this series. The Cognex Lens Tool includes an instruction card as part of the lens evaluation kit. It is not recommended to use your own M12 lens with the In-Sight 7000 camera, because all M12 lenses in this series have been pretested with the camera. A different lens may be too long or too heavy and may damage the camera’s lens holder or the autofocus mechanism.
