The minimum firmware requirement for the ISS-5603-0000 is In-Sight version 4.4.3.
As you plan the installation site, keep in mind the following guidelines.
-
Routing all cables away from the device enables you to avoid over-voltage situations, as well as line noise. Line noise can occur from direct wire contact and also interference from electrical discharge.
-
Keep the device from exposure to heat, dust, moisture, impact, vibration, corrosive chemicals, flame, and static discharge.
-
Laser light will damage the CCD without a lens filter. Obtain and install a filter if you plan on using the device in conditions that expose the unit to laser light.
-
The ISS-5603-0000 is internally connected to a ground wire on the breakout cable. So the breakout cable must also be grounded properly. If not make sure the device is mounted on an isolated on non-conductive mount. With a non-zero ground potential, the device might be damaged.
You can purchase optional devices to protect the device and aid in installation.
-
The lens is fragile and must remain free of dust, dirt, and oil. Also it is easy to scratch and smudge. So, a cover for the lens is available for purchase.
-
The threads that hold the lens in place must remain intact to allow the lens to be installed flush against the device. The thread protection device keeps the threads free dust and the threat of damage. It also is an option.
-
A lint-free cleaning cloth is also available as an option. It is critical that the lens is clear and can enable the device to perform at peak performance.
