The In-Sight IS5403-10 Vision System features one 10/100 BaseT Ethernet port with an RJ-45 connector and one RS-232C port for serial communications.
The breakout cable is a feature but it provides the electrical power connection and necessary signal connections. The eight wires that comprise the cable describe all the connections provided by the cable.

Wire 1: This wire provides power input.

Wire 4: The (0) signal for high-speed devices.

24VDC ±10% power at 500mA is the power that must be available at the site of installation.
The In-Sight IS5403-10 Vision System features Power, Network Status, and Network Traffic indicator LEDs. It also contains two user-configurable indicator LEDs. The image bit depth of the In-Sight IS5403-10 Vision System is 256 grey levels (8 bits/pixel) at 14 full frames per second.
The minimum level firmware you need for the IS5403-10 is 4.4.3. To make use of this information and keep your device up-to-date, you must perform several tasks. Using the configuration tool, check the level of the firmware contained on the device. Go to the website and see if a later level is available. Make sure the firmware is supported by your equipment. Check any notes that are associated with it. On a laptop, download the firmware. When ready, install the firmware.
