The Cognex IS5615 is a high performance ID reader from the Insight 5000 family of products. As an ID scanner, this model can read and verify text and barcodes at high speeds. Advanced identification software developed from the PatMax model provides this verification functionality. The software, IDMax, combines with advanced OCR/OCV tools to intelligently read texts and 1- and 2- dimensional barcodes. With this device, barcodes can be read at a rate of over 7200 ppm. Paired with the system’s 20 times speed rating, this model excels when working in high speed production lines.
Rated as a high performance system, the IS5615 features a 1 GHz processor to run the Cognex tool library. Faster processing speeds ensures that all embedded ID tools, including barcode reading, text verification, and image filters, work at high speeds. After images are captured they are rendered into a 2448 x 2048 pixel resolution with the 256 MB of available image processing storage. User selected jobs and programs can also be stored in the 128 MB of flash memory. Network and I/O interfacing capabilities are built into the device with the high speed Ethernet and 10/100/1000 BaseT protocol as well as the RS232C connection.
Provided storage and installation parameters should be met to prevent any environmental device degradation. To maintain optimum working conditions, ambient operating temperatures should be maintained between 0℃ and 45℃ (32℉ and 113℉).
