About the IS5613-00
IS5613-00 is a high-performance fixed-mount identification (ID) reader. Developed by Cognex for the In-Sight 5000 series, this ID reader can read and verify both text and 1- and 2- dimensional barcodes. This model features advanced OCR/OCV tools that provide text reading and verification capabilities. The IDMax software is integrated into this system, a barcode reading program derived from the Cognex PatMax software. IDMax reads codes and text in real-time, consistent with the device’s ability to parallel high-speed production lines. Codes are read at a rate of 7200 ppm with this unit. Factoring in all aspects of the device’s operations, the IS5613-00 measures a 20 times speed rating. As a high-performance model, IS5613-00 features a 1 GHz processor to run the Cognex tool library efficiently. Included in the tool library are all identification tools available to the device, including:
- image filters
- text verification
- barcode reading
When images are captured with the model, the 256 MB of image processing memory renders each image in a 1600 x 1200 resolution. A flash storage cache of 128 MB provides memory space for user-selected jobs and programs. Interfacing with networks and external I/O modules is possible as the device features an Ethernet port, a 10/100/1000 BaseT protocol, and an RS232C connection.
Device installation and storage parameters should be followed to maintain the integrity of IS5613-00. Containing temperature-sensitive pieces, this unit should be housed in a climate-controlled facility. These restrictions dictate that ambient operating temperatures should range no lower than 0°C (32°F) and no higher than 45°C (113°F).
