About the IS5610-10
IS5610-10 is a fixed mount ID reader created by Cognex for their Insight 5000 series. Designed for code and text reading, this device features a proprietary software that works on high speed production lines. A derivative of the PatMax software, this device features IDMax capabilities. IDMax provides the appropriate software to read and verify both text and 1- and 2- dimensional barcodes. Text reading and verification works using advanced OCR/OCV tools. As a high performance system, speed is a contributing factor in all aspects of the machine’s design.
As a high performance model, this device features an integrated 1 GHz processor. This processor runs the entire Cognex tool library on the device, ensuring that it operates at fast speeds. The Cognex library features a number of identification tools found on this device, including barcode verification, text reading, and image filtering. Remote networking is also available with the Ethernet and 10/100/1000 BaseT protocol. Serial interfacing with select external I/O modules is also possible via a RS232C connection.
IS5610-10 Environmental Ratings
To maintain the integrity of the device be sure to follow all manufacturer provided storage and installation parameters:
- Temperature sensitivities of some of the components of the device require that IS5610-10 be housed in a controlled climate
- When the device is not in use, storage temperatures can range from -22℉ (-30℃) to 176℉ (80℃)
- Once the device is installed on a production line, temperature ranges are tightened, with acceptable range from 32℉ to 113℉ (0℃ to 45℃)
