About the IS5610-00
IS5610-00 is a fixed mount ID reader manufactured by Cognex for their Insight 5000 series. This model offers users a high speed option for code and text reading. Derived from their PatMax software, this device features Cognex’s proprietary code-reading software, IDMax. The IDMax software allows this system to verify and read both text and 1-D and 2-D barcodes. Text reading is possible using advanced system integrated OCR/OCV tools. Image captures occur at a rate of 60 frames per second in real time when combined with the device’s 20 times speed rating. Codes can be read at a rate of over 7200 ppm.
All images captured with IS5610-00 are processed using the available 256 MB of image memory. This processing renders the images into a 640 x 480 pixel resolution. Certain storage and installation parameters must be met to ensure that the device does not incur any preventable damages. While IS5610-00 is operating on a production line, ambient temperatures should be monitored to maintain safe levels. Operating temperatures can range as low as 0℃ (32℉) and as high as 45℃ (113℉). Storage conditions can also damage the device if not stored properly. These temperatures allow for more variation, with acceptable ranges falling between -30℃ and 80℃ (-22℉ and 176℉).
