IS5605-10 is a high performance vision system developed for the Cognex Insight 5000 series. A high resolution model, this device captures clear images at a rate of 16 frames per second. When paired with the system’s 20 times speed rating, image acquisition happens in real time. All produced images feature the highest resolution offered by the series, 2448 x 2048 pixels. Each is processed using the integrated 256 MB of image memory, while an extra 128 MB of flash memory provides space to store user specified jobs and programs.
PatMax capabilities are integrated into this model to provide expanded user capabilities. PatMax uses a proprietary geometric pattern matching technology to easily identify various parts on a production line. In addition, IS5605-10 is also a high performance system that includes a 1 GHz processor. This runs the Cognex tool library at faster speeds than standard performance models. A number of identification and system tools are available using this advanced library. Some capabilities for this include barcode verification, image filters, and line finding. System networking is simple using either the Ethernet or 10/100/1000 BaseT ports. Additional serial I/O interfacing is also available with certain modules using a RS232C connection.
To protect the device, be sure to follow all provided installation and storage parameters. When operating or storing IS5605-10, the temperature of the facility should be maintained to prevent device damages. While operating, temperatures can go no lower than 0℃ (32℉) and no higher than 45℃ (113℉). Storage temperatures can also affect the device and should be monitored to prevent damages. Ambient temperatures of the storage facility can range from -30℃ to 80℃ (-22℉ to 176℉).
