The Cognex IS5604-01 is a line scan vision system designed for the Insight 5000 series. Instead of capturing images in pixels, photos are compiled line by line producing higher quality images. The lens is capable of capturing 44K lines per second. A combination of this image acquisition speed and the system’s 20 times speed rating ensure the device runs quickly and effectively. An available 256 MB of image processing memory provides clear and accurate photographs to the user. Storage space for programs and jobs is also available in the 128 MB of flash memory.
Both essential and expanded tool and ID sets are highlighted features of this model. Tools such as text verification, image filters, and line finding are integrated abilities built into IS5604-01. Serial communications are available using an RS232C connection and an appropriate I/O module. Additionally, network interfacing is available using the high-speed Ethernet and 10/100 BaseT protocol ports.
Installation parameters provided by the manufacturer must be followed to prevent accidental damages to the system. A climate controlled housing facility is required with the IS5604-01 as it is a temperature sensitive device. Ambient temperatures should range between 0℃ to 45℃, or 32℉ to 113℉, while the device is in use. Storage conditions can also affect the device and require user monitoring.
