IS5603-00 is a high resolution vision system developed by Cognex for the Insight 5000 series. Images captured with this device are best suited for inspecting large machines for minute defects and precise images. Acquisition of images occurs at a rate of 15 frames per second, with each image formatted in a 1600 x 1200 resolution. All images are processed with the system’s 256 MB of photo processing memory. Storage for jobs and programs is also available with the 128 MB of flash memory included with the system.
The high resolution features of IS5603-00 are further enhanced with the system’s 20 times speed rating. Extended ID and tool capabilities are also integrated into the system. Some of the included features are text reading, image filtering, and pattern matching. A discrete Ethernet and a 10/100/1000 BaseT protocol are built into the device, providing high speed networking capabilities. Serial I/O interfacing is also possible with an RS232C connection and accepted I/O modules.
Be sure to follow all provided installation parameters to prevent any damages to IS5603-00. As the model includes temperature sensitive technology, housing the device in a climate controlled environment is suggested. When operating the unit, maintain ambient temperatures between 0℃, or 32℉, and 45℃, or 113𒎓. Storage temperatures can also affect the integrity of the device and should be monitored. Acceptable temperatures when the device is not operating can range from -30℃ to 80℃, or -22℉ to 176℉. A complete installation guide is available in the device datasheet and the user manual.
