IS5600-10 is a high performance vision system designed by Cognex for their Insight 5000 series. PatMax systems are integrated into this device for an enhanced user interface. PatMax utilizes advanced geometric pattern matching technologies to intelligently locate machine parts without any user input. This device is developed to monitor high speed automation lines and machinery. These high speed capabilities are enhanced with the integrated 20 times speed rating and an image acquisition rate of 60 frames per second. Images captured by this unit are shown in grayscale. The unit can distinguish between 256 different shades of grey. 128 MB of image memory processes these images with a 640 x 480 pixel resolution. Space to save programs and jobs is available in the additional 64 MB of nonvolatile flash memory.
An exceptional user experience is guaranteed with the IS5600-10. An integrated 1 GHz processor provides superior system power to the Cognex tool library. Extended tool and ID verification systems are also featured on this device. These systems provide an expansive list of capabilities. A few included features are barcode verification, nonlinear calibration, and histogram tools. An Ethernet port and a 10/100 BaseT connection act as the networking ports for the device, while an additional serial I/O port offers a RS232C connection.
Complete storage and installation parameters are provided to prevent any unnecessary damages to the device. Since it contains temperature sensitive components, maintaining a climate controlled environment is necessary in preserving the device. While operating, the device requires ambient temperatures no lower than 32℉, or 0℃, and no higher than 113℉, or 45℃. Temperatures can affect the device even when it is not in use, requiring storage facilities to also be controlled climates. When the device is not in use, temperatures can range safely from -22℉ to 176℉, or -30℃ to 80℃.
