IS5600-00 is a high-performance vision system developed by Cognex for the Insight 5000 series. Designed to monitor high-speed machinery and production lines, the 20 times speed rating ensures its ability to function in these environments. In addition, the shutter can capture up to 60 frames per second. All images are produced in grayscale, with 256 differential shades of gray available. Captured images are processed using the 128 MB of image processing memory provided in the device. Additional storage space for program and job-saving is available in the 64 MB of nonvolatile flash memory.
System-integrated 640 x 480-pixel resolution ensures that the device produces clear and precise images. IS5600-00 is a high-speed system featuring a 1GHz processor to run the Cognex tool library. Other tools and ID systems are built into the device, providing features such as text verification, image filters, and pattern matching. Two networking ports, an Ethernet and a 10/100 BaseT protocol, provide communications hookups to the module. An external serial I/O connection is also available in the form of an RS232C port.
To ensure that the device operates within its limits, be sure to follow all provided installation and storage parameters. A climate-controlled environment is required as IS5600-00 is a temperature-sensitive device. When the device is operating, ambient temperatures can safely reach lows of 32℉, or 0℃, and highs of 113℉, or 45℃. Even when the device is not in use, temperatures can still affect the integrity of the device. Storage temperatures can safely range from -22℉ to 176℉, or -30℃ to 80℃.
