Overview
The IS5410-10, by Cognex, is a standalone vision system designed to aid in remote and automated monitoring of industrial applications. As a member of the In-Sight 5000 series of vision systems, IS5410-10 aids in aspects such as inspection, measurement, and identification of factory applications. Some notable features of the IS5410-10 include its 1/3-inch CCD type sensor, 60 full frames per second frame rate, and 640 x 480 maximum resolution. These specifications put it on the lower resolution, but higher frame rate end of the In-Sight 5000 series of vision systems. It comes in a compact frame, weighing 350 g, or 12.3 oz. with the lens cover installed, but without the lens. Integrated PatMax pattern-matching software allows manufacturers to rapidly locate objects with high levels of accuracy, even if the object is rotated, scaled, or stretched.
Common Features
IS5410-10 shares certain common features with the rest of the In-Sight 5000 product line. Like other In-Sight 5000 systems, it comes equipped with a die-cast aluminum housing, C-mount lens type, and has 256 MB of SDRAM for image processing memory with 128 MB of non-volatile flash memory for job/program memory. Another common feature it shares is a clear plastic lens cover view port with abrasion-resistant coating on the exterior side.
Firmware Requirement
The minimum firmware requirement for this system is In-Sight version 4.4.3, while versions 5.1.0 and higher are not supported for this particular system.
