Product Description

High-Performance General Purpose Vision Sensor IS5410-01 was produced by Cognex Vision Corporation for the In-Sight 5000 series and has an IP68/NEMA 6 protection rating. While this model is one of the high-performance models, it is still considered more of a standard model due to its lack of a color vision tool, lack of high resolution, and the lack of ability to be used as a remote head system. Even though this model has standard features than other In-Sight 5000 models, the IS5410-01 comes with a 2.5X performance compared to In-Sight 5100 models. 

The IS5410-01 model is superior compared to other vision systems outside of Cognex because it can be used in a fully integrated user environment. Some advantages of the system being used in a fully integrated user environment are that it can provide backward compatibility with existing In-Sight jobs, it provides integrated software lowering the total cost of the implementation, it has a simple and flexible interface to SCADA/HMI systems through OPC, there is a custom view interface aiding in runtime operations, and the environment is consistent across all In-Sight products making all of them easy to use. Another feature of using the IS5410-01 in an integrated user environment is that it can create applications within the In-Sight spreadsheet and can run them in a full emulator by using stored images on a personal computer.
