The IS5403-S11 model is part of the Cognex Vision In-Sight 5000 vision system series, primarily used for several functions, such as identification, measurement, automated inspection, and robot guidance applications right on the factory floor. The IS5403-S11 model can be configured over a network remotely over an intuitive user interface.
The image bit depth of the In-Sight IS5403-S11 Vision System is 256 grey levels (8 bits/pixel) at 14 full frames per second. The minimum firmware requirement for the IS5410-01 is In-Sight version 4.4.3. Installation of the device is comprised of several steps explained below:

Connecting the Ethernet cable to the device and the network.

Breakout cable: One connector is available on the device for the breakout cable; connect the other end as needed.

The In-Sight Explorer software provides the means to configure the device. Install the software and prepare to set up the device.
There are two memory types on the IS5403-S11 model which are image processing memory and job/program memory. The job/program memory on the IS5403-S11 model is 32MB of non-volatile flash memory. One of the special features of the job/program memory function is that so long as it is connected to a remote network device it has unlimited memory storage. You can connect to a storage device through a network and access all the memory the device contains.
