Features of the 5403
The IS5403-01 has high-performance and high-resolution capabilities. The high 1600 by 1200 pixels resolution allows for a large amount of detail to be gathered in each image taken by this vision system. When compared to the base Micro 1020 model from Cognex's powerful In-Sight series, the IS5403-01 performs 12 times faster. On top of these features, the IS5403-01 comes with expanded memory capacity as a newer model. Compared to the 00 models' 32 MB or 64 MB of non-volatile flash memory, the IS5403-01 has a whole 128 MB to spare. This means that more can be done with this model without having to connect it to a remote networking device to add additional storage capacity.
Toolsets
The IS5403-01 also comes with several toolsets which enhance the abilities of the vision system. The essential toolset adds features such as image filters, geometry tools, and standard calibration. The extended toolset adds things like non-linear calibration and masking and caliper tools. The ID toolset offers still more features like 1/2-D barcode reading, text reading, and additional image filters. These toolsets improve the performance and abilities of this vision system to a vast degree.
The minimum firmware supported by this model is In-Sight version 4.4.3. The versions 5.1.0 and higher are not supported.
