The In-Sight IS5401 Vision System features one 10/100 BaseT Ethernet port with an RJ-45 connector and one RS-232C port for serial communications. The breakout cable provides the connection for serial communications, power, trigger, and high-speed outputs.
The In-Sight IS5401 Vision System features Power, Network Status, and Network Traffic indicator LEDs. It also contains two user-configurable indicator LEDs.
Before you install the IS5401, consider that the device must be supplied with 24VDC plus or minus 10% power at 500mA or less.
The IS5401 contains 128MB non-volatile flash memory and unlimited storage through a remote network device. The image processing is 256 MB. The resolution is 1024x768. The sensor is ⅓-inch CCD. The weight is 350 g (12.3 oz.) with the lens cover installed and without the lens. The IS5401 features a die-cast aluminum housing.
The image bit depth of the In-Sight IS5401 Vision System is 256 grey levels (8 bits/pixel) at 17 full frames per second.

While in operation the recommended temperature of the IS5401 is from 32°F to 113°F (0°C to 45°C).

While in the operating environment, the recommended humidity is 95%, non-condensing.

The Ingress Protection (IP) standard for the device is IP67. This applies when configured with the lens cover in place.

During shipping and storage the device is subject to vibration. The vibration rating as measured per IEC 68-2-6 is 10 G from 10 to 510 Hz with 150 gram lens installed.

As measured per the IEC 68-27 standard, the shock rating is 80 G shock with a 150 gram lens attached. This applies during shipping and storage environments.
The minimum firmware requirement for the IS5401 is In-Sight version 4.4.3.
