The IS5400-S01 model from Cognex's In-Sight 5000 series is a robust vision system with features like a high-performance CPU to allow it to perform quickly and efficiently. The system has a speed rating of 12x that of the baseline Micro 1020 model. Additionally, the frame rate of this system is 60 full frames per second. This makes this a great vision system for dealing with fast-moving parts and machinery. In-Sight 5000's standard 640 x 480 pixels resolution allows for the IS5400-S01 to gather sufficient detail in its images for many situations. The 128 MB of job and program memory and 256 MB of SDRAM for image processing allows the IS5400-S01 to store large amounts of data on the device and carry out more tasks at a time.
Stainless Steel Housing
The stainless steel housing of the IS5400-S01 brings the protection level to IP68, which is perfect for areas where debris and water would be a concern, such as a wash-down environment. This is a direct improvement over the baseline die-cast aluminum housings that rate at IP67 with the lens cover installed properly.
