IS5400-C11 is a vision system designed by Cognex for the Insight 5000 series. This camera module remotely monitors high speed machine activities in a variety of workplaces. Supported with the PatMax system, this module can monitor conditions in a number of harsher environments. PatMax allows the module to accurately locate parts using a geometric pattern technology. No calibration or field resets are required as this provides users with a maximum vision yield. Images on this model are captured in full 24 bit color. All captured images are processed by the integrated 64 MB of available photo storage. An additional 32 MB of nonvolatile flash memory is also featured for program or job storage.
The 640 x 480 pixel resolution ensures that IS5400-C11 produces clear images. The camera can take 60 frames per second with a 12 times speed rating. Integrated tool and ID systems enhance the user experience, offering more from this module. IS5400-C11 highlights features such as the 1- and 2- dimensional barcode verification, nonlinear calibration, and image filtering. A serial RS232C port allows for I/O interactions, while an Ethernet port and a 10/100 BaseT hookup offer network connectivity.
All storage and installation parameters should be followed to prevent any damages to the device. IS5400-C11 is a temperature sensitive device and requires climate controlled housing. When operating, temperatures can safely range from 0℃ to 45℃, or 32℉ to 113℉. Storage temperatures can also affect the integrity of the module, even when it is not in use. Storage temperatures can safely fall as low as -30℃, or -22℉, and raise as high as 80℃, or 176℉. A complete guide to installing the device is available in the series manual and device datasheet.
