IS5400-10 is a vision system developed for the Insight 5000 series by Cognex. This easy to install module offers an optimal user experience. PatMax capabilities are integrated into this module. PatMax allows the device to effortlessly locate various machine parts without having to calibrate or reset the vision field. Using advanced geometric pattern technology, the camera can locate parts with a maximum vision yield and reliability. Images captured with this device are available in grayscale, with 256 distinguishable shades of gray. Images are processed using the integrated 64 MB of photo memory. An additional 32 MB of nonvolatile flash memory is also available for program or job storage.
The device’s 640 x 480 pixel resolution ensures that the user is receiving the clearest images possible. Up to 60 frames per second can be captured using IS5400-10. A 10 times speed rating is featured on the device. Additional system features are included in the tool and integrated ID capabilities. These features range from 1-D and 2-D barcode verification and image filtering, to nonlinear calibration and geometric tools. Ethernet, 10/100 BaseT, TCP/IP protocol, and a serial RS232C ports are featured communication points on the module.
Following all storage and installation parameters will prevent the device from incurring any unnecessary damages. IS5400-10 requires a climate controlled enviornment to ensure it operates within its physical limits. When operating, ambient temperatures can range from 0℃ to 45℃, or 32℉ to 113℉. Storage temperatures can also affect the device. Accpetable limits can range as low as -30℃, or -22℉, and as high as 80℃, or 176℉.
