Product Description

The Cognex IS5400-01 is a vision system developed for the Insight 5000 series. An easy to use module, this device allows for effortless monitoring of a variety of workplace environments. This model is capable of capturing grayscale images in 256 different shades. The 64 MB of available photo memory processes all of the unit’s captured images. An additional 32 MB of nonvolatile flash memory is also included with the system, providing storage space for programs and jobs. The use of a remote network provides the user with the ability to access unlimited memory storage.

IS5400-01 produces the clearest images possible using the system’s 640 x 480 pixel resolution. The camera itself can capture 60 frames per second with a featured 12 times speed rating. A number of other ID and tool capabilities are built into the device. Features such as 1- and 2- dimensional barcode verification, nonlinear calibration, and image filtering are integrated into the camera module. Communications ports like Ethernet, 10/100 BaseT, TCP/IP protocol, and serial RS232C ports are available for device interfacing.

Following outlined storage and installation parameters will prolong the longevity of the device. IS5400-01 features delicate internal systems that dictate a climate controlled environment. While the device is operating, temperatures can safely range as low as 32℉, or 0℃, and as high as 113℉, or 45℃. Storage temperatures should also be taken into consideration as the device can be damaged even when not in use. Acceptable temperatures of a storage facility range from -22℉ to 176℉, or -30℃ to 80℃.
